Coolant Hoses
Coolant delivery hoses are used to connect your temperature chamber or
thermal platform to your coolant source, be it a bulk system, a Dewar, or a
high pressure cylinder. Sigma offers Vacuum jacketed and Armored hoses for
L-N
2
, as well as hoses for L-C0

.
Covers for Thermal Platforms
Platform covers provide worker protection as well as protection for your
unit under test. Covers also help provide a more homogenous test environment by
reducing the influences of the ambient temperature. If used with a
Nitrogen gas purge covers will also help reduce condensation and frost on
the DUT and plate surface. Custom configurations available to your
specification. Maximum temperature for acrylic is 130°C, but because the
cover does not rest on the platform working surface, it can be used for
higher temperatures for short duration tests.
Hose and Dewar Accessories
Sigma offers the following
cryogenic hose
accessories to improve safety and use-ability of Sigma chambers and thermal
platforms.
Hold Down Clamp Set
The Hold Down Clamp Set enables you to hold items firmly to the platform,
or to hold things to your DUT, like a temperature probe.
Gas Purge Systems for Plates and Chambers
Purge Gas systems are often used to
reduce moisture or oxygen content in temperature chambers and thermal
platform covers. Reducing moisture allows operation at low temperatures
without dew or frost accumulations. Reducing oxygen levels can substantially
reduce oxidation at elevated temperatures. The gas used for purging
temperature chambers and thermal platform covers is typically nitrogen.
However, other gases, such as argon, carbon dioxide, or CDA (compressed dry
air) may be used as well. Sigma purge systems provide the mechanism to
deliver the purge gas to the thermal workspace at regulated pressure and
adjustable flow rates. Sigma purge systems can be used for applications
other than temperature chambers and thermal platforms.
Exhaust Options for Thermal Platforms
Sigma offers two options for Thermal Platform exhaust, the Standard
Exhaust and the Very Quiet Muffler. Either can be used to vent
exhaust away from the work area, however the Very Quiet Muffler will greatly
reduce the noise associated with expanding coolant.
Threaded Holes and Fixturing Plates
Threaded Holes with
Stainless Steel Inserts are the most common and popular option for Sigma
Systems thermal plate. Available in American standard NC or NF or metric
sizes, preinstalled threaded inserts.
Adapter/Fixturing plates
are a 1/4", or thicker, 0001-T6 anodized aluminum plate that can be placed
on or affixed to the surface of a platform to allow for easy variability in
hole patterns.
Temperature Probes
With Sigma's C4 controller you can add an extra probe that can be used to
monitor the temperature in various locations in the chamber or on the
plates, or monitor the temperature of the DUT (Device under Test).
