L–CO2 (Liquid Carbon Dioxide) Hoses

Sigma L–CO2 hoses have the correct fittings to connect any standard L–CO2 Dewar or cylinder (CGA–320 fitting) to any standard Sigma temperature chamber or thermal platform. The inner core of these hoses is Teflon with an outer braid of woven stainless steel for strength.

The small inner diameter of these hoses helps to deliver refrigerated liquid phase CO2 to the use point by keeping hose surfaces to a minimum. Hoses used for high pressure L–CO2 from siphon cylinders do not need insulation. Hoses used for low pressure L–CO2 from refrigerated Dewars should be insulated to minimize ambient heat intrusion. Please specify a hose with, or without, insulation.

To learn more about Cryogenic Cooling, hoses, and Accessories read Sigma's
"Cryogenic Cooling for Temperature Chambers and Thermal Platforms - Explained and Demystified"

We recommend using the shortest length and smallest ID diameter hose that matches your chamber/platform, L–N2
or L–CO2 source, and cooling needs to reduce heat absorption by the coolant in the hose.

To prevent metering valves and filter from becoming fouled by tape shards, always use Teflon paste sealant... never Teflon tape... when installing cryogenic coolant plumbing.
